Friendly staff. Great food. Quick service. I had the beef patacon and the grilled steak and fries for my picky 2year old. Once she tasted the steak, she was all in. My patacon was crispy and delicious. I’ll definitely come back and try the empanadas or arepas!
This place is amazing. We got the Parrilla Mixta (for two). Chicken, Steak, Pork, sausage, and grilled Cheese. Plus rice and Yuca fries. The meat was so tender with a very good seasoning. There was way too much food to finish in one sitting. We will be coming back to try more!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Steak & Sabor - and what a fitting name! We ordered tamales, tequeños, steak, beans, yucca, and a sandwich. Everything was incredibly delicious and the flavor was perfection. The service was lovely and everyone was so attentive and kind. We will definitely make the hour drive to come back, even if just for more tequeños and green sauce! Love it!
Steak & Sabor is officially one of our favorite finds in Midlothian. If you’re in Central VA and love authentic Venezuelan food, you need to check this place out. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We started with the pork tamales and wow, easily the best I’ve ever had, especially with their homemade sauces. The rotisserie chicken with fried plantains and pico de gallo was another standout. The chicken was juicy, the plantains were perfectly cooked, and the pico was so fresh and flavorful. We also tried the Agüita e Sapo (mini fried arepas filled with shredded pork and fried cheese), which was super juicy and packed with flavor. The beef ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the shredded beef empanada came out piping hot with perfectly seasoned filling. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The food and overall customer service experience were top-tier. We don’t hype up many places, but this one truly deserves it. We’ll definitely be back.
I ordered the tequeños and patacon mixto with chicken and pork and it was all fantastic! I’d definitely come back just for the food, but the service was also phenomenal. I came in kind of close to closing but was still greeted with a smile and checked on all throughout my meal. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Highly recommend!
We had such a good experience at Steak & Sabor. You can really tell it’s a small family owned business and they care about the food and their customers. We ordered the tequeños for appetizers and they were so good, perfectly crispy on the outside and cheesy inside. For our entrée we had the chicken tacos on corn tortillas and they were fresh, full of flavor and the portions were generous. We also got plantains and fries and everything was cooked just right. The in house sauces they make are honestly my favorite part. They are so flavorful and make everything even better. If you’re looking to support a local family business and enjoy authentic, flavorful Venezuelan food, this spot is definitely worth visiting. We’ll absolutely be back!!
Had an absolutely delicious meal at Steak & Sabor - the yuca is freshly made and you can TELL, it tastes sooo good with their house made green sauce & red (spicy) sauce. The beef arepa is outstanding as well as the chicken empanada. We also tried their chicken taco which was such a flavor bomb and made on a fresh tortilla. Lastly, the beef ribs were seasoned so well and easy to cut, very tasty with rice & beans. Yana and Yanett are both super sweet, highly recommend this restaurant! I want to see them succeed! 🇻🇪 They have a beautiful bar & happy hour, dine in seating, to go menus, & they are on GrubHub/Uber Eats/Door Dash. Definitely recommend supporting this local Midlothian gem! 💛💙❤️
Wonderful meal tonight!! We were wanting to try something different from the usual and this place fit the bill delightfully!! I had seen on the Facebook page RVA Dine and Drink page so I knew it would be a good one! We tried the Venezuelan soda Fescolita and it was a fun experience (tasted like bubble gum). We were recommended the Tequenos as an appetizer (somewhat similar to mozzarella sticks but not stringy cheese). We both had the Patacon. My friend tried the green plantain and I had the ripe one. We both preferred the crunchier texture of the green one but they were both fun to try! Definitely worth a try if you want to experience flavorful food that is different from the usual!!
